Modern marketing's promise has been data would decrease waste, deliver insight and drive results. In reality, marketers often aren't measuring what matters while spending their time telling business owners about marketing-specific performance metrics that don't actually impact a company's bottom line. This session will explore how small businesses should be thinking about marketing data. We will cut through the jargon and explore how to make sense of the reporting metrics that fill reports. Finally, we will give attendees ways to challenge their marketers to provide them with impactful insight instead of tables and columns of raw data.
